A color picker tool that goes anywhere
Most pickers live inside one app or one screen. This color picker tool travels with you: Color Identifier reads colors from the physical world and from images alike, so a wall, a screenshot, and a saved photo are all fair game from one place on your iPhone.
Two modes, one tool
The color picker tool has a Live Camera mode for pointing at real objects and a From Photo mode that works like an eyedropper on any image. Both return the color name plus Hex, RGB, CMYK and Pantone, covering web, UI, and print from a single reading.
How it works
- Open Color Identifier and choose Live Camera or From Photo.
- Point at the object, or tap the exact pixel in your image.
- Read the Hex, RGB, CMYK and Pantone codes.
- Save it to a palette to reuse later.
Why it’s handy
- Real surfaces — walls, fabric, packaging, plants, products.
- On-screen colors — sample anything via a screenshot.
- Saved images — pull colors from your whole library.
Save what you pick into palettes, organize by project, then export or share so the codes flow into your other tools. It’s free to download, with your first scans free.
