Sometimes a color picture holds exactly the shade you’ve been looking for — you just need to know what it is. Color Identifier reads it for you. Open the picture, tap the point you care about, and the app returns the precise color at that spot, like an eyedropper for your photos.
Pull codes from a picture
- Open Color Identifier and choose From Photo.
- Load the color picture from your library.
- Tap the exact point you want to read.
- Get the color name plus Hex, RGB, CMYK and Pantone.
There’s also a Live Camera mode, so you can read colors off real objects the same way you read them from a picture.
What counts as a picture
- Photos — shades from nature, food, fabric, or scenery.
- Screenshots — colors from a website, app, or design.
- Saved images — anything in your camera roll.
Save what you find
Each color you read from a color picture can be saved into a palette, organized by project, and exported or shared. Since the Hex, RGB, CMYK and Pantone values are universal, they work with any paint range, print job, or design app — long after the picture is gone.
