Color Identifier

Colour Picker Image

Open any image, tap a point, and pick the exact colour.

A colour picker for any image

When a colour is sitting inside a picture, you need to target the exact spot. The colour picker image mode in Color Identifier lets you open any image and tap a single point to read the colour there. It works like an eyedropper, so you pick the precise pixel rather than an average of the whole picture.

How to use the colour picker on an image

  1. Open Color Identifier and tap From Photo.
  2. Choose the image — a screenshot, a download, or your own photo.
  3. Pinch to zoom for accuracy, then tap the exact point.
  4. Read the colour name plus Hex, RGB, CMYK and Pantone.

Because the colour picker image mode targets one pixel at a time, a single shade can be lifted cleanly from even a detailed picture.

Where an image picker helps

For the most accurate result, choose a well-lit image and zoom in before tapping so you avoid shadows and highlights. Save each pick to a palette, then export or share the codes. Color Identifier is free to download, and your first picks are free.
