Color Identifier

Website Color Picker

Tap any spot in a screenshot to pick its exact color and get the Hex code.

Pick colors from a screenshot of any site

A website color picker is what you reach for when you spot a shade online and want to use it yourself. Color Identifier does this from a captured image: take a screenshot of the page, open it in the app, and tap the color you want. It reads that exact pixel like an eyedropper.

How to pick a website color

  1. Screenshot the page or section you like.
  2. Open Color Identifier and choose From Photo.
  3. Tap the element with the color you want, and the website color picker reads it.
  4. Get the color name plus Hex, RGB, CMYK and Pantone codes.

If the color is on a screen in front of you, Live Camera reads it live instead. Picking from an image works anywhere, with no need for a site’s source code, lets you pick the precise color of a single element, and lets you gather a whole scheme from one screenshot.

Save what you pick

A website color picker earns its keep when the colors stay with you. Save each pick into a palette, then export or share the codes. The values are universal, so they work with any design app, document, or paint range.

Frequently asked questions

Does it pick colors directly from a live website?

It doesn't read a live page's code. As a website color picker, Color Identifier picks the exact color from a screenshot or photo of the site and gives you the codes.

How do I pick a specific element's color?

Open your screenshot, then tap the exact element like an eyedropper. The app returns Hex, RGB, CMYK and Pantone values for that point.

Can I pick several colors at once?

Tap multiple points across the screenshot to pick a set of colors, then save them together as a palette.
